Sick and Crying

I wasn't sure how to start this post, so let's just acknowledge that I am sick and it freakin' sucks.
We can also acknowledge that my eyes are all puffy and burning from crying during 'This is Us'.
Anyone else wait out the Superbowl just to watch it?
Just me?

Ooookay. . .

It may be because I am extra hormonal with my time of the month coming up soon but I was crying hard and didn't quite realize it right away.
[Haha, boyfriend just told me I have sick eyes and I had to explain that while he was video gaming I was crying about the Pearson family.]

Once I am feeling at least 85% better I would like to dedicate more time to my blog as I find it therapeutic and also more time to my Youtube channel because it is a good, somewhat, creative outlet for me.

Maybe before all of that I should start working out again.
I find being sick a good reset for starting to exercise/eat healthy again.  It's like your body is trying to get rid of the toxins in it.

Catching Up

Hi Gang!
The past two weeks have consisted of me living on my own, and I honestly thought I was going to work out everyday, blog consistently and film and edit lots.
I filmed 2 videos and didn't write a word.

I think while my love was away working I felt lost.  The majority of my time was spent working during the day and then come home to sit on the couch, drink a cold pressed juice and watch tv.
I was asleep by nine thirty (at the latest) every night.

I have some recommendations though!
I watched "Remedy" which was a Canadian hospital drama that I absolutely loved.  It got cancelled after season 2.
For movies, "The Intern" with Robert Deniro and Anne Hathaway was awesome.

 The Mother-In-Law to be and I had a fun Friday night last week of yummy food, a little too much wine, and great music!

This weekend will be visiting with my love now that he's home and cleaning up the house.
Boring adult stuff.
Plus lots of relaxing.

Life Changes

Isn't it funny how things can change so quickly?

Three weeks ago my love got laid off and I was doing lots of part-time work with the company I work for.

Today, all in one day, he got a job to do in a couple weeks that pays well (it's only a week long, but at least it's work).  As for me? I got one of three jobs I applied for with the company I'm with.  After two years I get a home and benefits!  I can say goodbye to my Friday nights though, but then there's also no case of the Mondays.  So it's kind of a toss up.

I feel like good things are finally coming our way.  I hope I'm not jinxing it.
I still feel poor as hell though.

Lots of changes happening...I'm curious if I'll be less stressed, less exhausted, and if I'll have more time to blog and work on youtube.  I guess I shouldn't forget working out either.

Once I start this position I should really make a schedule for myself, because I really am quite a lazy person.

Shoud I Vlog?

This cold has been just kicking my butt!
And I shared it with Boyfriend Fiancee too.

But I didn't come on here to complain about my cold.
I came on here to say I really really really want to start a new youtube channel for vlogging.
I would like to vlog with Fiancee even thought we're pretty boring just to give me something to do and I think it would be a fun thing for us to do together!

What inspired this?
Erik Conover's youtube channel.
His model girlfriend and him live in New York and it's just about their daily lives. 
What makes it so intriguing?
The couple is relatable and I just can't stop watching his videos.

I would highly recommend checking out his channel, and she has her own channel as well which I've already subscribed too.

It's the Weekend!

Good Morning!
It's Saturday, yay! Which means only 5 hours of work to go before it's the actual weekend for me :)

I currently have three blog drafts saved, yes three, because for the past few days I have been so bummed and I would come home and write.  It helped, but I didn't want to post them because it's the same things over and over again.
They're about my anxiety and panic attacks and how I don't feel like me lately, how my job is just a job not what I want to do forever.
If you want to read my whines, I'm sure I could post them but I'd rather not.
I'm trying to promote positivity, mostly to myself.

What are your plans for the weekend?

I think I would like to do the following:
1. See a movie with my Dad
2. Work out
3. Exchange something at Sephora (I bought a twist up lipstick that doesn't twist)
4. Go to the Farmer's Market on Sunday
5. Take more pictures
6. Clean my house
7. Bake something/Cook a good dinner
8. Go to Pier1 and see if they put out the rest of their Autumn decor...and  maybe check out HomeSense too
9. Not sit in my chair all weekend and be lazy
10. Edit three videos and upload them!

A Change

Good morning!
I've been thinking about my blog lately and have decided it needs to change.
I was trying to identify myself as a beauty blogger and it's just not working for me.
For that fun makeup/fashion aspect of my life that I do enjoy so much, youtube works better. For me.

My blog is going to be what it always should have been/used to be 6 years ago, a lifestyle blog.

But I keep questioning myself:

-Who wants to read about a couple who's been dating for 3 years?

-Who wants to read about a girl who works all day to come home and turn on Netflix for 4 hours?

-What about a girl who drinks wine Tuesday nights because she can?

-Works Saturdays, relaxes Sundays and on her random day off during the week is a housewife?

-This girl also has no kids, isn't married, is waiting for her niece to be born, has no friends....the list just goes on and on

-The things this girl does for fun...
...
drinks wine on Tuesdays?

-But seriously.  Plays badminton with her Boyfriend and his mother, gets drunk Saturday night with Boyfriend's mother....and sometimes her and her Boyfriend will play beer pong against each other...because they can.

Would you read a blog like that?

I hope so, because that's what you're going to get from now on.

As much as I'd loved to have my name out on the internet it's just not common and I don't feel like sharing yet.  So for now, I am still The Quiet Brunette.

I Am A Terrible Haul-er?

Hello again!
Is anyone else terrible at hauls?
Well, it's not that I'm bad at accumulating things I just don't blog or make a video (which I enjoy doing).  Haul videos are my favorite, so of course I want to do something that I enjoy watching right?

I just can't seem to produce a haul video or even just a blog post without having opening the package before and most times even using some of the products I purchased.

Just terrible.

It's either get the products and haul them right away while I'm still in work hair/makeup mode or it just never gets done.
I'm even worse when my subscription boxes arrive. I post a picture on instagram and that's about all I can manage.

I have a fair amount for a haul video/blog soon, I just need to pick up at package from the post and maybe do another stop at Target.

Have you heard Target Canada is closing?
It's my favorite place to get cosmetics because it's so well lit and just nice to browse through, so needless to say I am sad.
But Sephora is coming to my town soon...not that I need more.

Moving on.

Exciting things coming soon!
And if things pan out this week, I should be able to get more pictures on my blog soon and hopefully using my youtube channel a bit more.

The Last Month

Good morning Lovelies!
It's the last month of the year! Can you believe it?
There a quite a few Christmas themed things I have planned for the blog this month and I hope to get some videos up on my youtube channel as well.

Unfortunately I will not be participating in Vlogmas, but I hope to do a weekly vlog (we'll see how that works out...)

Do you have any Christmas traditions?
My family's has changed over the years.
We used to religiously go to Pizza Hut on Christmas Eve, but they started closing earlier each year (can you blame them?) or my Mom has been working later.
Now Boyfriend and I tend to hang out with his family on Christmas Eve and then go visit mine for a couple hours and then we go back home and relax for the night.

We're usually the first to wake up and we'll just snuggle in bed and be so excited to start the day.
Last year we were awake at four am, and played Foosball until everyone else woke up.

This year will be a little bit different as someone has to work on Christmas Day, so we'll get two days of Christmas!

Have you finished or even started shopping yet?
I've been picking things up here and there, unfortunately I've bought more for myself, again.
I do this every year. It's such an awful habit....but there are so many deals!

I hope to do a gift guide soon, once I have more shopping done.

A Beautiful Weekend

Hello Lovelies!
Sorry for being a piss poor blogger.

It's awfully hard to work full time, blog, unwind and go out and about.
So I've decided to vlog on the weekends (I'll shamelessly promote my youtube channel at some point), Saturdays or Sundays and possibly a day throughout the week if I get one off.
As for other videos, there's no way for me to plan a schedule for that at the moment as I have no time for it.  That makes me sad, I have fun filming and editing but there's just no extra time.
I get home from work between four and five thirty (on good days) and then there's the matter of showering, making lunch, visiting family etc. By then it's seven o'clock and I'm ready for bed.

But I didn't come on here to make excuses or complain (which I just did both in the above paragraph).
Today has been wonderful, last weekend was too!
Last weekend I was quite the little shopper:





That shopping trip was a big deal, I don't normally buy that much at once. Think of the savings!

So far this Saturday we have been up at the ungodly hour of 7am (that's unheard of from me on a day off) and by nine we were out the door headed to the Farmer's Market a couple towns over.
It is my favorite market on the island and I go there specifically for coffee beans.

It is the best coffee I have ever tasted (so far) and if you live in British Columbia, I'm sure I could give you the details on where to find it.
We also bought our favorite jalapeno cheese sourdough bread, and a new try of bacon chive sourdough bread (amazing!)

Nathan found a beeswax candle shaped like a pine cone and it smells wonderful. I wish I had pictures of everything to show you!  Then tried a vendor's pulled pork sandwich and some bought some venison jerky from another.
Next time I will remember bags and hopefully buy some fresh vegetables and my favorite almond croissant that I decided against today as I already had a croissant for breakfast.

Good thing I took a picture of the concord grapes because they're all gone now :)

Card Making!

Oh boy!
I've been busy!
Work and sleep are taking up a lot of my time lately and I started working on my youtube channel again and Boyfriend agreed it would be a good hobby for me as I love to edit videos.

It's still Summer-like here, unlike Alberta (where there is snow!) but last night I went to a Stampin' Up party where I looked at a holiday catalog and made a Christmas card. It's making me want Fall weather.
