I love Autumn, clearly.
I am a avid Halloween fan.
I am also a horror movie addict...or anything that hints at Autumn.
So here is my list of things to watch to get in the Halloween spirit!
-Hocus Pocus (Obviously. To prove my love for this movie to you, it was what I wanted to watch at my seventh birthday...which is in March.)
-Coraline (I love watching this on a rainy day)
-Poltergeist (the original, my Grandma always had us watching odd movies growing up and this one was my favorite at nine years old)
-An American Haunting (For some reason I just love this movie. I won't spoil it, but it has quite the twist)
-The Paranormal Activity movies (My mom and I were addicted to these as they came out in the theater!)
-Jennifer's Body (I watched this in the theater when it first came out and I felt empowered? after seeing it, it was bizarre. Plus I love Megan Fox.)
-Dark Skies (*Aliens*)
-Stranger Things (duh)
-The Exorcist (hands down the scariest movie for me)
-Rosemary's Baby
-The Exorcism of Emily Rose (I remember being just about in tears watching this in the theater)
-The Sixth Sense (Saw this in the theater with my Mom too...told you we're addicted. I was only 11, but freaking loved it)
-Goosebumps (my childhood, the mask one was definitely my favorite)
-Halloweentown
-Little Monsters
-Casper (I had a huge crush on Devon Sawa growing up and I won the vhs of Casper in a costume contest, so it has sentimental reasons too)
-"It" (I remember watching the original when I was pretty young, my best friend and I wanted to be scared...that shower scene was the worst. I saw the new one when it came out and I actually really enjoyed it and want to see it again.)
-American Horror Story (Seasons 1 & 2 specifically)
Those are the ones that come to my mind when I'm feeling Halloweeny (everyday).
Let me know which Halloween type films you're into at the moment.

Time Still Passes
I can't believe September is almost over. I feel like it was the quickest month yet, but also the loneliest. . .so far.
My dude has been working away. He was home for about four days before leaving again a week ago. This time is longer.
He doesn't even work away as long as some people's partners do, but I find that I get stuck inside my head and just land in a dark place.
We're getting closer to buying a house and my greatest fear is being left alone in a whole house with just my thoughts. So I need to get some hobbies.
Any suggestions?
I recently went to the Etsy market in the mall and it was amazing, people are so creative and brave to put themselves out there. I struggle to do that.
I like to make birthday cards, but I am not willing to put myself out there to sell them that makes me feel nauseous.
I've been watching lots of movies and t.v. and am getting excited for new seasons of Stranger Things, This is Us, South Park and The Exorcist.
But no Stranger Things spoilers please, I have to wait to watch it until my boy gets home.
It premieres on October 27th, and yes I did take the 28th off in anticipation of the binge and also it's my man's birthday.
If anyone has any tv or movie watching suggestions please leave them below!

My Mom is in Florida
I'm guilty of not blogging lately.
I've been watching too many movies, cleaning my house like crazy and just feeling incredibly anxious.
I am guilty of being self destructive and I am the first to admit it, no one needs to tell me that I shouldn't drink wine when I'm sad or anxious or to get off of social media when I'm like this.
Two of the stable people in my life aren't here right now and it's really wreaking havoc on me.
My love is up north working, it'll be three weeks tomorrow that he's been gone, and I still won't be seeing him until next weekend.
My Mom. My Mom is in Florida right now.
We're all worried for her and I just hope once it gets to Orlando that it's weakened.
I saw some of the photos and footage from the Caribbean and I am at a loss for words. Hurricane Harvey just passed through Texas and that was devastating. It's a lot more real when you have someone you know and love in the path of a hurricane.
We don't get hurricanes here so this is all new information to me.
Disney World will be closed after tonight, until Tuesday. She's supposed to be back Wednesday, if they're able to fly out then. She was told to keep the blinds closed during the hurricane and fill the bathtub with water.
Theses are her pictures of the sky today, it's the same time in all of them but the sky just looks ominous.
I just pray for her safe return and am glad she had fun while it lasted...and I'm jealous that she saw Hocus Pocus live.
I'll try to update this post as I get new information while we have contact.

Standing Up To My Anxiety
Lately I've been living the life of a single girl. . . sort of.
My fiancee is working away at the moment and so I am by myself.
I know lots of couples do this, and it's tough. I'm lucky that it hasn't been for months at a time, yet, but it's still hard to have him away.
I have really bad anxiety when I have to go out and do stuff by myself.
Like groceries? If I go right after work or early in the morning I'm good, but if I have to go on my days off in the middle of the day? Forget about it, I end up calling my parents and getting one of them to go with him.
Lately I've been challenging my anxiety, or myself I guess.
I meet my mom for coffee at the mall every Sunday when she's working, once she goes back to work I make myself do a lap around the mall by myself and if I'm brave I go into a store or two. The longest I've done this for lately is about twenty five minutes and then I get sweaty and panicky and have to leave.
So yesterday I decided I was going to take about a 3 hour drive to my favorite beach. I made myself do it, I almost have to bully myself into doing things...it's pathetic.
But I did it, I spent 3 hours there and even went body boarding.
Proof:
Once I was on the road I was having a great time blasting my favorites songs on a beautiful, sunny day. The beach was busy, but it's so big and honestly, no one else cares what you're doing.
I have to keep reminding myself that.
Like if I want to make myself start running again and I have to remind myself that no one else actually cares what I'm doing, I'm bettering myself and will feel great after.
I just thought I'd give a quick update on my anxiety, and while not everyone has a partner that works away so it forces you to do things alone...it helps. I would suggest bullying challenging yourself to do things outside your comfort zone.

I Have A Thing For Autumn
I know I am kind of all over the place with my blog and just can't seem to pin point the right name, I say this because I'm going off the topic of skinscare & such (my current blog name, in case it changes in the future).
I have a deep love for Autumn.
I'm not sure if I've mentioned that before, but as we're nearing the end of August I am getting giddy. We're talking Christmas Eve kind of giddy, I know I'm weird.
The past two days I have spent browsing Autumn decor online, burning Fall candles and composing the ultimate playlist.
Oh, and watching 'Hocus Pocus' and 'You've Got Mail', two of my favorite movies for the season. . .let's be honest, I watch them year round.
I've also been busy cleaning my home and making it more simple. I like simplicity, a lot, but I have so much clutter and I have a thing about making piles. So I am going through my clothes and books and donating whatever I haven't worn in the past couple months or books I'm just not interested in anymore.
It's like Spring cleaning, but an Autumn de-clutter. I think I just made that up.
During my vacation in two weeks, when it's officially September (insert excited squeal here), I will dig out my Fall box (yes I have one, just like I do Christmas decorations) and start decorating.
I tend to blog a lot more in Fall, so here's what you can expect from me:
-Pictures, lots of cozy, Autumn pictures
-Outfit post
-Autumn activities like the corn maze and farmer's market
-A post about all my favorites candles
-Autumn playlist
-Baking, I love to bake in the cooler months
And if you can think of anything else you'd like to see, just leave a comment below.
Have a great week!

More on Self Doubt (Careers)
For as long as I can remember I have wanted to work in either fashion, movies, or music.
When I was little, we're talking seven years old here, I wanted to be a cashier and work at Wal-Mart like my Mom (it's documented) but I loved fashion design and modeling.
I did modeling when I was a kid, nothing came of it but it was fun.
I also remember doing an audition for the movie Big Bully, I was about eight, but they were more interested in one of my brothers. Neither of us got it though.
I did sewing for seven years and really loved designing clothes, but I just wasn't committed.
Flash forward to when I was seventeen, I entered a modeling contest...a couple actually.
I won one and was in a magazine and did some modeling in Toronto for Converse & West49.
I came second, I think, for a local contest and then also did further work with a store called Bootlegger because of it.
I did two local fashion shows that put me in contact with a lady who does modeling and acting classes.
Many, many years later...we're talking about ten years later.I enrolled in acting classes with that lady. I did them for a year and half.
I auditioned for a pilot tv show and got a callback. . . the only thing was that they were looking for people who were about thirty...I was twenty five and looked about eighteen, so while they laughed at my jokes at the audition and was a great experience overall...I think I just looked too young. The pilot never took off.
And now? I take blood for a living. It's good for right now as it's bringing in double from my old job and I have a regular schedule, but I'd still rather be doing something in the film or fashion industry.
I would really love to be the person who picks the music for tv or film and/or edits it. As much as editing can frustrate me, I love it.
I've even thought about submitting pictures for commercial modeling lately, but I remember from when I was younger that twenty six is old in modeling and I'm well past that now. I guess it doesn't hurt to try.
Then a tv show has been filming on our island the past two years and I just don't have time to even do extra work for it because my work isn't flexible.
Remember my post about self doubt a few days ago?
This is a continuation on that.
I just feel like I'm doing the wrong career.
I'm sure tons of people feel like this and it's an awful feeling. You just feel like you're living a lie because you are, you're lying to yourself.
Anyone else feeling like this?
How do you cope with it?

My Travel Makeup & Skincare Routine
I recently went to Las Vegas, not far from me but far enough.
Traveling means I get to use up a bunch of my miniature products, which I was psyched for (ask the boyfriend). It also means that I really need to figure out what makeup products are really essential to me, which was hard because I have a blush palette I love, but it is rather large.
I had a method to my madness.
I packed everything I would normally use, which sounds ridiculous but it was my system, then I went through it all again and asked myself "do I really need this for the three days I'm gone?"
I would narrow it down to if one product could do the work of two, do I need a blush palette when I'm going to be in forty degree Celsius weather?, do I need two highlighters?
The only thing I couldn't get myself to agree on was mascara. . .I brought three. . .did I end up using three? No. I used the same one every day.
What I started with was excessive. Not pictured, is an eye shadow palette that I brought and used once. And all I used it for? my inner corner highlight. I brought a lipstick, but all I ended up using was my Lancome Juicy Shaker (in cotton candy), love these things! The Nars soft matte complete concealer was awesome for the hot weather and I think I claim it as my all time favorite concealer after this trip. I just want to mention that I never hear anyone talk about the Buxom lash mascara, I freaking love it. It never flakes or clumps on me and makes my lashes look so good, I need to invest in the full version.
I thought for sure I would be into wearing a lot of makeup but a)I was wearing sunglasses half the time and b)it was sweltering! I was more into caring for my skin and hair, as the heat attacked it.
I used my regular shampoo and conditioner, and just transferred them to small containers (hair routine coming soon), but this soy leave-in treatment from SexyHair helped so much while down there. I am a blush person and I only brought this one from Charlotte Tilbury/Norman Parkinson Color of Youth, and I only used it the first day. My Charlotte Tilbury bronze and glow was a must though, along with the Becca under eye corrector.
I recently used my points to get the First Aid Beauty set at Sephora and have been dying to use these minis and finally got the chance.
Face cleanser- While it is good and didn't effect my skin in a bad way, I'll pass and stick to my Neutrogena.
Coconut Primer- I am not sure. . .I like the way it felt and the scent wasn't bad, but I just didn't notice much difference if that makes sense. I would save my money.
Ultra Repair Hydrating Serum- I liked this quite a bit, but seeing how I have other serums I like slightly more I'm not buying the full size.
Ultra Repair Cream- I did not like the scent of this but I really like the cream, a lot. The scent goes away quickly so I may the full size in the future if suddenly Eucerin stops making my favorite.
I brought my bum bum cream by Sol de Janeiro and never used it once! But trust that I've been using it like crazy since I've been home...plus I did transfer my Brazilian Crush spray into a smaller container to bring on the trip and wore it every day.
Since we've been home I've been embracing a no makeup makeup look more than usual, mostly just concealer, bronzer and highlight. It feels very summery and I'm loving it.
What are your travel essentials?
Expect a beach post later this week as we're headed out for some waves today!

Self Doubt
I just read a fantastic post by Jess Ann Kirby and it inspired me so much to write my own.
Her post was all about self doubt, and lately I've been (what I now realize) is major self doubt, on top of depression and anxiety...or maybe my self doubt is causing those things.
Another thing she mentioned was to stop comparing. I compare via instagram, "why am I not doing that? I want to go there" etc
It's bad, bad for your mental health and bad for your relationships.
So while this isn't my favorite picture of me, I was happy. My boyfriend had just done something that made me laugh.
What everyone else would see on social media would be this girl having the time of her life in Vegas.
A week before this I was crying all day, miserable, ready to quit my job and I was just done with everything. That week before inspired our trip. I was sad the whole weekend before and Monday I let it slip that I had been constantly crying and Boyfriend decided we had to do something fun on vacation.
So while that picture isn't a lie, it's not the whole story.
I have yet to figure out how to get over my self doubt as I just don't feel like I'm on the right career path. That's up to me to work hard at getting to where I want to be.

The Blah Times
Hey,
Hope everyone is doing well.
I've been busy but not?
My dude has been working night shift so we're not getting a lot of time to go on adventures.
I hang out with myself quite a bit, and honestly? I'm pretty boring.
I had a good thing going for a bit health and fitness wise and then I got sick and it all went to...you know.
My head is a bit of a mess today as I'm, once again, fed up with my work. It's not the actual job itself, it's some of the politics. I love the people I work with and the majority of the patients, but some of the other stuff? It makes me want to pull my hair out.
So I'm taking a breather tonight and just zoning out watching 'garbage tv' as my man calls it.
I just wanted to check in and say hey and that I'm working on a post that I'm quite excited about, I just need my mister photographer for it is all.
Have a great week and let me know what you do to get through those blah times.
Hope everyone is doing well.

Health & Fitness Update (4)
Well, these updates are few and far between.
I feel quite possibly, the best I have felt in a long time.
I still have quite a ways to go fitness wise but I've been working out about 5 days a week for roughly 20 minutes, doing mostly weight training and just natural body resistance exercises.
I skipped the last two days but I am not feeling guilty about it as I was tired from a long work week and Friday night I just wanted to have fun.
I am eventually going to do a what I eat in a day post but for now I'll give you a quick look into my daily routine.
First, I have a notebook that I keep track of my food and workouts in, I find it helps me plan and be accountable. Plus I like to see when I had a good day and it makes me just feel good.
I usually write in this at the end of the day but I always write my breakfast and lunch in for the next day as I usually have those meals already planned.
Breakfast- 3 eggs and smoothie (if we don't have smoothie stuff I will have oatmeal)
Snack- A big bottle of my homemade green juice (recipe coming soon) and maybe some fruit if I am still hungry
Lunch- usually a salad, Kind or Cliff bar, fruit (strawberries, pineapple, banana)
Dinner- Usually protein with a vegetable and rice
Snack- Sometimes I snack but lately I haven't been except for a couple pieces of dark chocolate
I usually work out around six thirty, after my dinner has digested and then after that just get chores done or relax. It's a routine that is working out really well for me lately, just hopefully I can keep it up as it starts to get hotter here.
Have a great week!

Summer Essentials 2017
Time for my annual Summer essentials update!
I feel like this year is different than years previous.
Normally I have a BB cream or tinted moisturizer and so far this year I haven't put one on my face, I've been embracing my skin while it's behaving.
I have been loving freckled, bronzed skin and natural looking mascara.
Not much skincare is included in this post, but you can check out my current routine here.
-Sunscreen has become a must for me as I am all about skincare. This one from Aveeno is 30SPF, doesn't feel greasy, blends into the skin nicely and is the last step in my skincare routine.
-I am loving bronzer, I've never really been one for it until this year and this Hourglass one (Diffused light) is killing it for me.
-While I am not using a tinted moisturizer or foundation, I still feel the need to conceal and I like the Nars complete concealer (vanilla) for this. It blends in nicely to my own skin tone and creasing is almost non-existent.
-I received this Charlottle TilburyXNorman Parkinson Color of Youth healthy, happy lip & cheek glow, in my lucky bag from Beautylish earlier this year, and I thought nothing of it at the time. But the coral color and the fact that it's a multi use cream has been amazing for this warm weather!
-Hylamide HA Primer, provides a nice blurring effect and canvas for all this rose-y cheeked, bronzey-ness.
-I'm all about mermaid colors for the eyes. The new Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Highlighting Eyeshadow Palette volume 3 and NYX single eyeshadow in Mermaid, are perfect for this. Some may not like the shimmers in the Tarte palette, but I am a fan.
-I just started using the Lancome juicy shakers about a month ago and I am in love. I'm not much of a lipstick person so these are perfect for me. I love this one in Freedom of Peach for Summer.
-For bright under eyes I've been using this Becca under eye corrector for quite awhile now and would highly recommend it.
-Lastly my favorite mascara this year, Buxom Lash Mascara. I love the wand, love the separation, love the length it gives, and best of all I can work all day and not have a smudge under my eye.

-Becca's Shimmering Skin Perfector in Opal, I can't believe I haven't used this sooner. Such a pretty glow for Summer without looking 'shiny'.
-CoverFx click highlighter in bubbly, I love highlighting my top lip with this or using it under a powder highlight for an extra glow.
-Clarins lip perfector in 04Petal, is a great sheer Summertime gloss.
-Another product from the company Deciem (I know, I'm obsessed), this time from The Chemistry line, Heel Chemistry has saved my dry feet. I just think it is amazing. I apply it either before I go to work or right before bed, once a day and it's just been like magic. I'm not embarrassed to wear sandals or go barefoot.
-Last but not least, the brand as a whole that's been a winner for me is Sol de Janeiro. The smell of everything they produce is amazing and just is Summer to me. I was ecstatic when they released the
Brazilian Crush body spray and scooped it up instantly. I've never religiously used a body cream until now and this is my second tub of the Bum Bum cream. The shower gel, Brazilian 4-Play, I could just sit and smell it all day. It can be Summer all year long using this brand.

The Ordinary's Hyped Foundation
I have another little haul from Deciem.
I am loving everything Deciem makes so far.
I have yet to try the deodorant but it is supposed to 'fight the look of hair growth', which I was very interested in so I thought why not? I'll do an update on that at a later date.
This the is the Hylamide SubQ Eye Serum. This can be applied in the am and pm, which I am a fan of, and it is supposed to improve fine lines, puffiness and dark circles. Lately I've been noticing the fine lines under my eyes, definitely some dark circles happening as well and I only suffer from puffiness when I've had too much salt in my diet. So far I've noticed that it does help hydrate my under eye area and while it's too soon to tell if it's helping my fine lines I find that it has almost a firming feeling a little while after applied. While my under eyes are looking brighter, I still suffer from dark circles after a sleepless night but that's only a problem concealer can fix.
So far a thumbs up!
I love the idea of applying a retinoid on my skin, so of course I had to scoop up two of these.
I have never applied retinoids on my skin before but I have heard plenty of good things!
This is a 2% retinoid, it is supposed to help with signs of anti-aging (yes please!) and you only apply it in the evening.
I don't know why but I thought this would have some sort of smell to it, but nothing. Actually I've never had any scent issues with any of their products so far.
I've been using this for a few days but I notice my skin is clearing up which I'm not sure if that's an effect of using this but I'll take it!
The Ordinary Colours Serum Foundation, the reason my order took so long to get here.
The wait list for this foundation was huge and the brand was sending out emails apologizing for the delay, which I think is awesome customer service. I love getting a heads up when something won't be arriving when I thought it would and what the reasoning is.
I am not a foundation girl, which is why I ordered the serum instead of the coverage foundation.
I ordered the shades Fair Neutral 1.1 and Light Neutral 1.2.
I find the 1.1 Fair Neutral to be a great pale shade for me and when swatching the 1.2 Light Neutral I thought it would be way too orange on me, but it actually blended in quite nicely.
1.2 Light Neutral might be an okay shade for me while I'm tan but I still might need a darker shade....luckily the shade range is huge!!
Feel free to let me know in the comments which products you've tried or which ones you're are curious about!
There's still lots for me to try but so far I'm loving the routine I have going.
[From left to right: The Ordinary Advanced Retinoid 2% (I bought two), The Oridinary Colours Serum Foundation Fair Neutral 1.1, The Chemistry Brand Inhibitif Deodorant, The Ordinary Colours Serum Foundation Light Neutral 1.2, Hylamide SubQ Eyes Advanced Serum]

What I've Been Watching
There's a bug going around and I am currently getting over it.
So I've been drinking lots of homemade green juice (recipes coming soon!) and binge watching a lot of tv and movies.
Here is what I've been watching:
1. Girlboss (Netflix)- this was such an easy show to watch and I finished it in two days. Sometimes I like to watch fluff and this was perfect for it, plus it helped me get my butt in gear to blog again.
2. Before I Wake (Netflix)- Starring Kate Bosworth and that awesome Canadian kid Jacob Tremblay, I think he is just fantastic. This movie was weird, really different concept for a scary movie but I liked it!
3. How I Met Your Mother (Netflix)- I never stop watching this show, it's one of those shows I've watched so many times now and can just have it on in the background but not worry about missing anything because I know what happens.
4. Lights Out- This is one of my favorite scary movies ever because it touches on mental health and I just felt like I could relate in away. Plus I love Teresa Palmer.
5. Drugs Inc (Netflix)- Do I need to really justify this? I love shows like this and Border Security.
6. 10 Cloverfield Lane (Netflix)- John Goodman as a creepy guy? I love it! Such an odd movie but I couldn't stop watching it! I was not expecting the ending to turn out the way it did.
7. Dark Skies- Another scary movie...sensing a theme? I haven't watched this in a while but I've been yearning to, I just love it. If you haven't seen it I don't want to spoil it, but I think the topic was done really well.
8. The Duff- Another fluff movie :)
9. Nerve- This movie was weird but kind of cool and scary if that was actually something I was a part of. Not sure if it's actually a recommendation, but it definitely kept my attention.
10. Gilmore Girls (Netflix)- Duh.
Hopefully everyone avoid this awful cold going around and enjoy the rest of your week!

Just a Little Sephora Haul
I didn't take advantage of the Sephora VIB Rouge sale, as much as I normally do, this year, I do tend to spend a little more during the one in the latter half of the year.
I mostly did a little restocking this time and also wanted to try a couple little things.
First let me just introduce the one thing I bought a week before the sale because I was completely out of eye cream and was waiting to repurchase my more expensive one during the sale.
I actually accepted the help of a girl at Sephora that day (which I never do) while I was stuck between two different Origins eye creams. I told her I wanted it to be moisturizing and she suggested this one and said it was super brightening too. I've been using it for a couple weeks and I really love it, definitely a favorite now.
And the star of the show! I love the Hourglass powders, and with diffused light being my favorite I had to try the bronzer. I don't know how to explain this powder, but it's just such a natural glow/bronze to my skin. I'd love to get the luminous bronze for Summer when I'm a bit more tan. Next on my list from Hourglass is a blush!

Origins
Dr. Andrew Weil for Origins Mega-Bright Dark Circle Minimizer
Shiseido
Benefiance WrinkleResist24 Intensive Eye Contour Cream
This is probably my favorite eye cream ever, but with a seventy dollar (Canadian) price tag I'll only purchase it when there is a sale or with Shopper's Drug Mart points. It is so hydrating, and I notice a difference in the fine lines around my eyes ever since I started using it last year.
L’Occitane
Oil Make-Up Remover
Funny story about this product, I bought the wrong thing. I meant to buy the Shea Cleansing Oil, which is fabulous and almost ten dollars cheaper for the same amount of product. I am hoping this works similar or better.
NARS
Soft Matte Complete Concealer in Vanilla
I was dying to try this concealer ever since it came out but I was too chicken because the drugstore concealers I use are awesome and I was nervous about shade matching. Luckily the shade is perfect for how pale I am and a little product goes a long way. Quite a few reviews say this is drying under the eyes, which I agree, but I find as long as you use an eye cream before and don't slather on the concealer you're fine.
Lancôme
Miracle CC Cushion - Color Correcting Primer in Pinky Peach
I already own this but I had to purchase a new one during the sale because I found I cannot live without this. I would love to try the others but for now this one is working for me. It brightens under my eyes like crazy and makes me look so awake (which I need). Out of everything I purchased this is one product I would highly recommend getting.
Dior
Diorshow Pump‘N’Volume Mascara and CLINIQUE
Pretty Easy Liquid Eyelining Pen
I am a fan of the Dior mascaras I've tried in the past so I to give this odd packaging a try, but I have yet to test it out. I did however quickly test the eyeliner, I was surprised how easy it actually was, like what? How does that work? Plus it's super black, which is a must.
Hourglass
Ambient Lighting Bronzer
That's it for this haul, let me know what you picked up during the sale!

Why I Love The Ordinary
I have a new skincare love.
The Ordinary.
I think I first came across it on well.ca but most of it was sold out, so I did my research and found it also on beautylish.com.
The company is actually Deciem and I've also tried some of their Chemistry and Hylamide line now too.
And they also are the company that does Fountain, which I tried last year and the 'Happy Molecule' definitely made an impact on me.
But this is about The Ordinary.
I own and love the following four products so far: Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5, Lactic Acid 10% + HA 2%, Salicylic Acid 2% Solution, AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution
I use the Hyaluronic acid every day, twice a day. The lactic acid can be used every night but I've been doing well with every second night. I use the salicylic acid on any blemishes I have twice a day and it seems to keep them from growing to a monstrous size. The peeling solution is only recommended to be used twice a week for only 10 minutes and out of fear I follow just that.
I have noticed a dramatic difference in my skin. It's not been as dry and the peeling solution makes it incredibly smooth and soft. And after a night of using the lactic acid my skin always looks brighter (I am a lactic acid lover).
Plus the packaging is simple and I love the dropper. I wish I would've taken a picture of when I received the products, they were all wrapped up in brown paper packaging tied up with string (but seriously). Not to mention that it's super affordable and made in Canada. And the disclaimer on the website, "DECIEM does not test on animals and does not pay others to do so. For this reason, none of our brands are sold in mainland China since such sales require animal testing for registration purposes." I mean come on, is this for real?
Oh, and they're coming out with foundation too.
I am just so in love with them so far.
I'm all about buying local, buying Canadian and the fact that this Canadian brand hits it out of the park for me is just awesome.
Well done!
I am currently purchasing their retinoid. . .

Drunk Blogging Take Two
Hello Friends,
I swear I don't drink al the time, but I have been on holidays and it's also a long weekend.
That's how I justify a drunk blogging part two.
Currently watching: Gilmore Girls A Year in the Life: Fall. Fall, Autumn, is my favorite season and it's my favorite "episode" of the year in the life.
I apologize if there are spelling mistake my computer is taking it's sweet time today, but I will try to catch any mistakes if I can.And here is where I take a break because Logan has shown up....excuse me. I just get goosebumps when those three gorillas show up.
I need to rewatch the series again, I haven't done that yet this year, usually I do it twice a year.
God, I hope it's Logan's baby. He was always my dream guy. Luckily my boyfriend reminds me of him. You know the way Logan challenges Rory? That's how I feel my dude is, pushing me to do/try new things.
Lately I've been thinking I should just quit my job and go.
Do you know what I mean?
This whole scene just makes me want to do that more.
Rory, Alexis Bledel just doesn't age.
I just need to leave my nine to four job and explore.
Yes, it's not a nine to five. But it's pretty close.
I recently started following someone on instagram that makes me want to quit my job and travel because that's what they did, but I can't because I need to live and afford my rent and my bills etc.
I have enough saved up that I could go away, but can I just leave my job and go away for a few months? I just don't know about that.
They say do what scares you.
That scares the hell out of me.

Drunk Blogging Part One
I always think about blogging when I drink.
Mostly because I like to write and let's face it, I like to drink.
On the menu tonight is Phillips Blue Buck.
It's one of my favorite beers, just a solid choice and it reminds me of Rock the Shores last summer.
[By the way, Rock the Shores was "postponed" this year.]
While enjoying my beer I have folded laundry (my least favorite chore) and applied self tanner (always a dangerous task whilst drinking)
I know how dangerous it is to self tan while drinking, trust me I've done this before and I feel like it was much worse than how tonight will turn out. Last time I didn't shower afterwards...I was orange.
Another thing I enjoy doing while enjoying my Monday night beer is online shop.
I have an addiction.
I'm currently on well.ca browsing skincare, and have brought my cart down to about $70 before tax.
Actually that's pretty good, I had two of wet 'n wild's photofocus foundation in there but I guess one sold out.
I so wanted Herbivore's Blue Tansy mask, but that's a little too expensive today.
I'm also waiting on an order from beautylish.
I'm going to try some skincare products from Deciem's The Ordinary, I'll let you know how that goes.
I told you I had an addiction.
In a week is the Sephora VIB rouge sale...so expect a big haul soon, either in blogpost or video form.
I really meant to film a lot this past week, but whenever I went to do it I felt awkward or I could hear the landlord. Plus I've had dermatitis so my skin looks like sh*t.
Tomorrow I'm going to head into the city and check out Wholefoods with my Mom, probably some clothing stores too (not that I need any).
I feel like I'm still trying to figure out my style, I wanted to be 'stylish' but I'm an athleisure girl all the way. I love my TNA tops, my Talula leggings, and a good ol' pair of Guess jeans paired with my favorite Wilfred sweater.
Okay, I think it's time for a snack and maybe to binge watch '13 Reasons Why'. I read the book in about 5 hours (way back in 2007) but it's taking me days to get through the show, it's good but I just loved the book.
What are you watching on Netflix at the moment?

I feel like I'm still trying to figure out my style, I wanted to be 'stylish' but I'm an athleisure girl all the way. I love my TNA tops, my Talula leggings, and a good ol' pair of Guess jeans paired with my favorite Wilfred sweater.
Okay, I think it's time for a snack and maybe to binge watch '13 Reasons Why'. I read the book in about 5 hours (way back in 2007) but it's taking me days to get through the show, it's good but I just loved the book.
What are you watching on Netflix at the moment?

The Awkward Reintroduction
I've been wanting to blog for awhile now, but I just didn't know how to go about it or what to say.
It's like seeing a friend you haven't talked to in months, maybe even years, and it's just awkward.
So let's skip the awkwardness and just hug.
Now that we have that out of the way---hold on, I need tunes. Okay that's better.
I want to change my blog or figure out my 'brand' or just what the hell I want to blog about.
While sitting on the ferry to go to work I have a notebook and it has lists and lists of blog names, youtube channel names, ideas for posts/videos etc
Yet I still can't figure it out.
I love to write.
I love to film and edit.
But I just find myself doing other useless things with my time, like laundry. . .
Okay but actually I procrastinate and watching youtube or Netflix for hours at a time.
I'd love to have a game plan, I like to plan but I never follow through (refer to the notebooks full of lists)
I dream and plan how blogging or doing youtube would go for me and it all sounds nice but it doesn't happen.
I am now in my late twenties, at a nine to five (okay, it's technically to four) job and I like it, but it is not what I want to be doing. It's paying my bills and letting me meet amazing people, but my passion just isn't there.
I tried vlogging over Christmas and loved it, but found that it's hard to capture an audience when it's just two of us and we don't do anything exciting.
I love beauty, skincare and fashion (fun fact: I used to want to be a fashion designer and started sewing at 9 years old), but I don't know anything about these subjects except that I know what I like.
For now this is it, and if anyone enjoys reading it that's great and if not well at least I still get to write and take pictures.
XoXo
